homegrown tomatoes!

Time flies. I can't believe that we are merely 3 weeks away from the first day of school. Summer seemed so long back in June, but here we are, almost to the end. I know I sound like a broken record by now, but I am going to try my darnedest to get back in the blogging groove. It kills me that months of our family life is missing from the blog. I am making it a personal goal to write about those missing months, even if it's just a picture dump. Eventually :)

Today I just want to post some pictures of our "herb" garden, which has been taken over by Will's pumpkin plant.

But somewhere in that mess is my first tomato plant. After months of waiting and documenting...

I finally harvested my first tomatoes! I ate one raw, and it was so, so flavorful. Once I have more, I plan to make tomato eggs every day :)

  1. This little herb garden has gotten completely out of hand this season. Sure, the giant sunflowers and rows of corn we're a sight to see, but Will's damn pumpkins are taking over the whole front porch! Never again! Say NO to pumpkins!!
