On most days,

Luke drops the kids off at school and he's speedy about it. But whenever I get to do it, like this morning, I like to linger. I like to talk to the teachers, look at the school bulletin for news, and, if they are out on the playground, spy on them from the parking lot as I leave.

Today when I sneaked my last peek, they were swinging side by side, having a great time.

I smiled as I drove away.

This sibling pair is really loving their time together this summer...but we are less than 4 weeks away from the end.

I am feeling nostalgic already.

  1. That's a cute sight! I definitely know what you mean about that nostalgic feeling! Time is just passing too quickly.

    1. Yeah, especially when it means the end of a chapter. Like Anna leaving this school and two kids in two different schools for the next two years.

    1. Hope you are having a good one! Prior to kids though, summers really don't mean much to me. I loved the fall though, when we usually traveled.
