lately / summer fun list, water play, sunflowers, winky smile

I am late, but I thought I would join the party and post my fun list for Summer 2014.

If you can read my chicken scratch, here it is:

To beat the summer heat, we bought this sprinkler for the kids. And last weekend when we went to visit the grandparents, we tested it out for the first time. Both kids enjoyed it so much and except for when we ate pizza, they were out playing the entire time. Definitely a boredom buster and a wonderful investment! The next day I took them to Mosaic District for more water play, but I have to say that I think my kids have outgrown the baby water jets.

When we planted those sunflower seeds over the Easter weekend, we had no idea they were gonna get THIS gigantic. It will be interesting to see just how tall they get. But more importantly, will we ever get any flowers? Oh, and Anna. All of a sudden, she knows exactly how to blow bubbles. Give the girl a bottle of the bubbly stuff and she can entertain herself for a long time.
Our "herb" garden is a hot mess.
And finally a #latergram. I didn't get a chance to post these pictures in my Williamsburg recap posts, but they are too cute not to to share. The kids had some fun trying on statement necklaces at the outlet. That Will smile kills me.

  1. That list should be very very easy to do, we've got plenty of time (unless we move out of the country or something). Either way, those sunflowers - are they ever going to actually become sunflowers? Or will they keep growing and growing like some giant weed? Right now, they're poking up near our bedroom window. If the start touching the clouds, I'm afraid a golden goose and a giant will come tumbling down...

I've noticed the corn is the same way - it's over my head but no ears of corn (yet).

  3. Whoa, those sunflower are kind of intimidating! My girls played in their old toddler blow up pool today and had a blast. They pretty much love anything having to do with water!
