3 parks, 3 days

Now that I know Will naps in the car, planning weekend outings is a cinch.

It's really simple. As long as we are in the car between 9:15 to 9:45a, Will dozes off for his morning nap without much fussing. If we drive for a long time, he can stay asleep for a long time. But if we are just going to some place nearby, he will sleep for another 10-15 minutes once the car stops. They are not long naps, but they do hold him over until his afternoon nap and we get to go out and do activities.

We stay out for a couple of hours. Either grab lunch while we are out or come home to eat. Unless absolutely necessary, we try to be home before 1p (or earlier if we don't eat out) so Anna can get her rest. Then Will goes down for his (long) afternoon nap shortly after.

Our Labor Day Weekend can be summed up in one word: Parks! We went to 3 of them in 3 days. We planned all outings exactly the way I described above. And they all went without a hitch. :)

Will loved (smiling, flapping arms) the train ride.

  2. I love the science of nap schedules. :) I have a feeling I'll be dreaming of the day we get a routine back with 2 babies until it happens. So glad you've got it down now! It's amazing how much better the day is when you can include a successful outing with a toddler.

  4. :) I like Will's smile. It's friendly and sort of shy or unassuming.
