Baby B! The home stretch, but not quite...

I just counted – I am 46 days away from Baby B’s expected due date. However, I am huge and uncomfortable so I hope it won’t be 46 days before the little man makes his appearance.

The pregnancy is still going well, but it hasn’t been easy physically. Walking up the steps and getting up from the floor is getting harder, more so when I have Anna in my arms. I won’t be surprised that in a few weeks, I won’t be able to pick her up anymore. Sleeping, surprisingly, is still good. Maybe it is because I am so tired by the end of the day that I can snooze through an earthquake. Hubs has been a superstar in waking up for Anna’s middle-of-the night fusses so I still get a full 8-hour sleep.

I looked through my previous pregnancy posts and, apparently, when I was 33 weeks pregnant with Anna, I already had my hospital bag packed! Here I am 3 days past 33 weeks and I haven’t done a darn thing to prepare for this baby. I don’t think there is much to prepare, but I do want to have bottles/nipples ready, his clothes washed and folded, burp cloths at every corner of the house, and pack n’ play set up. All these things won’t take long once I put my mind to it, which is why I have been procrastinating.

Baby boy is moving ALL THE TIME, which is annoying. Haha, but I remember one day at work, I suddenly noticed that he hadn’t moved in a while and I kept on pushing on my tummy to make him kick. I am such a typical mom.

As far as I know, Anna has no clue what’s going on. I point to my tummy and she says “baby” or “didi” (younger brother in Chinese), but she also says that to hubs while poking his stomach. Rather than kissing me on the face, she prefers to kiss my tummy instead. I can’t wait to see them grow up together.

So a little bit less than 50 days to go...hopefully less...before our lives will never be the same again...again.

--Side note: I realize that it is lame to post about pregnancy without a belly shot, but this post has been sitting in my draft folder for almost a week now. If I wait until I get my act together, Baby B will have already popped. So this will have to do.

  1. aw, great post, belly shot or not. I love hearing, er reading, about second pregnancies. Still hoping to join you in the experience soon...

  2. enjoy. it goes by quickly. before you know it, he'll be here!

  3. Time's flying! Don't worry about belly shots. We're just happy to hear everything's going well and you're keeping healthy. You must record/photograph the look on Anna's face when she meets her little brother. This is going to be precious.
