OBX: Meeting the Ocean

Greetings from the Outer Banks!

We arrived at our beach house late Saturday afternoon after a long drive and took Anna to see the ocean first thing the next morning. Judging by the smile on her face, I think it's safe to say that she likes "wawa" a lot.

If I don't get too lazy, I should have time to post more throughout the week. Besides the pool and the ocean, there isn't a whole lot to do here but to just relax. Sounds like a perfect vacation to me.

  1. The pool and the ocean... That's a lot of wawa!

Maybe visit the Wright Brother's memorial?

  2. Looks like fun! Good to see you guys taking some pre-newborn time off! Are you renting a house or staying in hotel? You are my heroes for traveling with baby as much as you do - I am still totally chicken about it - we stay close to home with the munchkin:)

  3. @ Intense Guy: We are planning on that tomorrow!

@ Irena: We have a house about a 3-minute walk from the beach. So convenient. Well...you know traveling with a tot is just taking the show on the road. There are fussy moments, but seeing her smile makes it all worth it. I am such a mom.

  6. That's right...you take the show on the road...and that's the problem! The diapers, the baby's food...the million little things a baby needs....enough for an entire week! How do you pack it all up and keep it all straight?:) Do you bring toys? How do you keep her happy in the car for 4 hours or more? I want to see a post on packing and traveling with baby! How do you do it? You seem to be getting good at it. That's the part that scares me. I guess you have to be calm about that too and be ok with missing something and finding a way to do without it. Sounds stressful!:)
