Ridin' in Style

I didn't think we needed a new family car - thought my little Honda Civic sedan would suffice...but with merely three trips out with Anna (and I didn't even do any heavy lifting), I knew that my trusty old car wasn't going to cut it.

Off we went to shop for a new car!

We test drove the CR-V the other day, but couldn't come to an agreement on the price. So yesterday, end of the quarter, hubs went on his own, talked down the price, traded in his tC (I love my Civic too much to trade it in. Thanks for taking one for the family babe!), and drove home a brand new sleek black car. The CR-V will be my primary car to haul the baby around and hubs will tough it out with my old car for now.

It's amazing how much space a tiny baby needs, but I really like the new car! It's just roomy enough for 2 adults, 1 baby, and 2 dogs. :)

  1. Great car! That's what we had when it was just one baby, me and DH and I loved it. Congrats! Hope you're getting enough sleep.

  2. Nice car! :) I'm sure everyone must be really happy to have their own space (doggies included!) =)

  3. Where's my clutch!?April 1, 2010 at 4:18 PM

Took the old beater Civic to work today and it wasn't too bad. Don't really mind the faded black rusty dented look of the thing, though the Hello Kitty crap on the dash had to go! I don't miss my tC much, but having had manual trannies my whole life, this is a new stage for me.

But don't worry my sweet A5, I have not forgotten about you. We will be together as one someday, someday far away, but I can wait. And no, we will never step up to a minivan, must resist...

  4. Congrats on your new set of wheels! Man, babies are expensive huh?

And look at those teeny little feet. Precious :)

  5. Even the car seat seems really posh!

... when you list all the beings that need rides, I counted 5 of them, so yes, you really need more room - even it three of them are tiny!
