I hope you weren't hurt too badly. Neck injuries are hard to tell sometimes - and sometimes delayed in reaction. :(

@ Teresa, knickknacks, and Maria: No recipe, guys! I made this one totally up on my own (no measurements) and it's crazy easy. Using a slow cooker, I slow cooked carrots and chicken quarters for 4 hours. Then I added salt and hondashi (Japanese soup flavoring) just before the time is up. I like to remove the meat from bones before serving, too. Then I boiled some asian noodles, drain that, stir-fried a bunch of bok choy with fried onions/shallots, and put the noodle soup together. Yummy!
