Honey and Soy Glazed Salmon

We eat salmon often at home. I season it with salt + pepper and pan fry over medium heat. Although very good, I wanted to try something new.

I saw different variations of Honey and Soy Glazed Salmon recipe floating around the Internet and decided to give it a try.

The recipe here was my inspiration, but I changed it a bit.

The result? Quick, simple and easy to make! The honey sauce was delectable over steaming white rice. The fish was so tender. This will most definitely become one my regular salmon preparations.

Honey and Soy Glazed Salmon:

- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp honey mustard
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- one 12-ounce piece salmon steak/fillet

1. In a small bowl whisk together honey, soy sauce, mustard, ginger, and water. Set aside.
2. Season the salmon with salt and pepper. In a small non-stick skillet heat oil over moderately high heat until hot and cook salmon until golden and just cooked through.
3. Transfer salmon plate.
4. Add honey glaze to skillet and bring it to a boil. Boil the sauce until it almost caramelizes. Pour glaze over salmon.
5. Serve on a bed of sauteed baby spinach.

  1. Yum, always a nice departure from the usual salty grilled variety. Plus you know how much I like sweets. Combine that with a nice piece of fish and I'm in heaven!
