The Sweetest Card

Luke and I are card givers. So I used Valentine's Day as another opportunity to sharpen my card making skills. I must say that it turned out a lot better than last time. I had a lot of fun making it too!

The makings of this card couldn't be any more easier. Using the same paper I used for my Lunar New Year cards, I trimmed and scored it to a 4.25x5.5 note card. I then use the leftover scrapbook paper from Luke's 30th b-day card and cut it to the same size (4.25x5.5). Using a glue stick, I carefully glued it onto the front cover. I kept the front cover simple and left it like that.

For the inside, I found the template from How About Orange. Instead of buttons though (since I didn't have any), I used a heart hole punch, punched out some hearts, and used them as "flower heads". The hearts were from the same scrapbook paper I used for the front cover so the card has the same colors schemes throughout.

For the back, I glued a butterfly punch-out and literally left my fingerprint. Handmade by Sugarlens!

So easy! It took me less than 15 minutes to make once I had all the supplies out. I love making my own cards! Sorry Hallmark, you will never get a dime from me again!! I hope Ahbow you liked it!
