Cake in-a-jar

I have a subscription to Hallmark Magazine . The magazine is similar to Martha Stewart Living, full of refreshing ideas on living, cooking, entertaining, and home decorating. I saw this idea weeks ago in the latest issue and thought it's a great alternative for those on budget. Even though we are at the tail-end of the holiday season, I think this gift idea works great for all occasions (birthdays, Valentine's Day, Easter, anniversaries, etc).

  1. Okay, this is something that makes as much sense as a solar powered flashlight. Why not just dump the contents of a box of cake mix into a jar and tie a ribbon around it? Or hell, just bake the damn thing and hand them a ready-to-eat cake? They do make small cakes called cupcakes that are readily portable. Hallmark...pff! WTF do they know? Just stick with making overprices cardboard with drawings and words on them.
